Badger!
It's very hot here in my part of Sweden. Like, *very* hot, even during the night. The hottest June in about 75 years, if I remember correctly.
I've got a nice sort of pavilion on the porch - fabric roof and sides, and a layer of insect netting too so you can choose to have the fabric panels open but the netting closed and sit in a nice breeze without getting eaten by mosquitoes. And given the heat, I've put an air mattress out so I can sleep here when the night temperature doesn't go below 18C.
Last night I was sitting in my chair, thinking about going in to brush my teeth so I could go to bed, when I heard a weird snuffling/smacking noise from the bird feeder area. It sure didn't sound like a bird, so I thought maybe a squirrel would be there, and looked by the light of my phone. Nothing.
Then I looked a little lower...

The badger hung around long enough for me to take a picture, then apparently it thought I was moving around too much so it scurried off down the garden path. I've not seen it since, but then I'm usually not out here that late.
