Shiny!

It's been a few hectic weeks here, which is why I haven't written. Important events from those weeks include:
  • My 11 years old niece staying with us
  • My grandfather's funeral. [livejournal.com profile] cdybedahl has already written about that, so I won't.
  • I finally got the loom set up. There's a picture at my home webserver.
  • I've started riding [livejournal.com profile] gnapp's horse Skutt. That's him in the icon. Several more pictures are at my Skutt page. Monika took them. It's interesting to see how obvious it is what I was doing wrong and how it improved during the 30-40 minutes I was riding. Last Saturday I was out with him again, and having seen the pictures I knew what I needed to work with my seat - and it went a whole lot better.

Now I'm going back to making a dress for my mother. With a bit of luck it'll be finished tomorrow so I can drop it off on Friday when we're staying overnight at her place on the way to Germany.

The loom is cool - I'd love to learn to weave, but I have no room (or time) to do it, so I'll settle for crocheting.

(BTW, hi, I know you from alt.poly and from lurking on a.s.r.)

Ooooh. *Nice* loom. Looks sturdy enough to do rugs on, big enough to do yardage. Lucky lady!

Lovely loom, and a gorgeous horse too.
