Invasion, day III

Yesterday was a very good day indeed. I was too tired to write last night, though.
We started out quietly enough watching The Princess Bride. Thina hadn't seen it before, and loved it. The aide got the day off;
cdybedahl went to a party at one of our friend's, and after watching the movie Thina and I set out to visit
gnapp and her horse.
First stop was to get some lunch. We ended up getting hot dogs at a gas station. Thina had the bright idea that I'd be a lot better of with one of those portable hunting stools, the lightweight threelegged kind, and we found one at the gas station.
We arrived at the stable at the same time as
gnapp. The horse, Skutt, is 167 cm high and he's almost white - give it a few years more and he'll be all white. Thina admired him greatly, and we spent some time talking to and about horses. I sat on my stool - I can't imagine why I never thought of getting one before, it makes life so much easier!
Then
jegra called. Her younger horse was a bit swollen under the jaw and had a temperature. We went out to take a look - Thina checked the swollen jaw, some friends helped check the teeth, and Thina came to the conclusion that it probably wasn't anything to worry about. This turned out to be correct when Jegra checked him this morning.
After that, we were pretty well knackered. We stopped to let the dogs have a swim - they need that - and then drove straight home, getting back a little pastg eight PM. Dinner was had while we watched Galaxy Quest, another film Thina hadn't seen.
We went to bed at about 11 PM, and slept like logs throughout the night. The dogs were dog tired too, didn't wake up until about 9 am which is very late for them.
Today Thina is driving back home. I'm going to miss her. The cats probably won't miss the dogs, though...
