mostly very tired
Jan. 8th, 2004 11:03 amSecond day at work. I had to be in at 09.00 to be at a meeting. Apparently most people are still on vacation, so it took only about half an hour to drive to work. On "normal" days it'd take almost an hour at that time of day - which is part of the reason why we generally use our flex time and get in at 9.30 or so, at which time the drive takes about 20 minutes.
For some reason I didn't sleep at all well tonight. Don't know why, really - it shouldn't be stress related as yesterday wasn't stressy at all. I'm working on the same old web statistics thingy, and I keep finding more and more stuff that's horribly broken in various "interesting" ways. (That's "interesting" in the same way as a traffic accident - you wish it had never happened, but you can't help looking at it anyway...)
Someone on a mailing list posted a link to an article at SFGate and a post on Democratic Underground. "Land of the free" apparently isn't the same thing as "Land of the free speech"... I find it frightening.
cdybedahl and I recently watched Babylon 5, Season 3. When it was made, it was fiction. Now I wish I could find it unreal.
