That damn cold decided to rear its ugly head again. Or maybe it's a new one this time. Anyways I have a fever and have spent the day in bed with cats and laptop.

I'm sure everyone is most surprised to hear that I've been watching Stargate SG-1. I've gotten to season 8 by now.

Of todays batch so far, let's just say that Sacrifices really sucked and Christopher Judge should stop writing scripts where he so blatantly Mary Sues himself. Also I got most irritated by the subplot of Ry'ac's wedding ceremony. First they spend a lot of time talking about how important it is that he respect his bride as a warrior and an equal. Then at the ceremony she talks about his honor and bravery, while he talks about how good she looks. Pfaugh. Same with the stuff about Teal'c having to rescue Ishta. Cause she's a woman, dammit, so of course he has to rescue her despite them being in the same situation to start with. Double Pfaugh. So there.
But the part with the horses was fun. One of them looked a bit like a Friesian but it was hard to tell as I only saw it from the back and in a corridor at the base.

Endgame was much better. Especially when Jack was supposed to give the order to fire on the Goua'old ship but he couldn't cause Daniel was on it and he just sat there looking all angsty and indecisive. He's not a good general in that situation and he damn well knows it too.

Now I shall see if he leaves SGC for Washington in the next episode or if it takes longer.

In other news the cats are being cuddly but I lack sufficient quantities of chocolate.

Droste, the half dark/half milk variety that they have at Hemköp. But don't bother if you're too tired or stressed, I'm fairly sure I'll survive.

Funnily enough, I'm off work today (poorly sick... upset tum and dizzy spells - *ick*), and I've spent a lot of today lying in bed watching SG-1 season 8 (agreed on the episodes you have listed)... I'm part way through disk 4 now, but taking a "sitting up" break to have a drink and a ciggie.

I've just seen "Prometheus Unbound". Jack really doesn't like Daniel going off in the ship. Not that that's slashy or anything, of course... And the whole story made me think of the 101 Relationship Rules Terry posted over at Area 52... See a href="http://www.area52hkh.net/ast/terry/rules01.php">, specifically rule 26.

I like Terry's stories. They're generally fun. And worksafe. Mostly. Except that laughing out loud may cause people to look at you.

I'm really not a fanfic or slash fan at all :-)

I'm up for a little while (cup of tea and such, but already getting woozy headed so will head off to lie down again soon), but I'm just about to start disk 5 :-)
