Job interview report
Jun. 21st, 2004 02:53 pmSo, I'm back from the job interview. I was one of the three out of 107 applicants who made it as far as the second interview, which sounds hopeful. The people I talked with were nice and likeable, and what I've heard about their systems sounds like the job could be interesting and challenging enough. As there's no on-call and they discourage overtime, I'd get a lot less stress than I've had here. They're two-three persons to an office, they've got flex hours (although the required presence is 9-15 instead of 10-16, which I've got now).
There might be trouble getting a parking space at the office, though, and I probably couldn't work from home very much. I can deal with not working from home, but I do need the parking space. Of course, I could try to get a doctor to sign my application for disabled-parking again. Last time, the doctor screwed it up, and since I've already got a parking space at current place of work, I didn't have the energy to pursue it.
They said they wanted to make the decision this week. That means Thursday at the latest, as Friday is non-work day here.
Anyone still inclined to keep their fingers crossed, please feel free to do so!
