SG-1 again...

After seeing the end of season 5, I realised that all the slashiness I'd seen up to that point was of the pre-actual-relationship variety. There's simply no way that Jack and Daniel actually got it on before Meridian. But it's fairly obvious that Jack really regrets this... especially in "Abyss".

But then there's Maybourne. There's Paradise Lost. Over on Area 52 there's a lot of Jack/Maybourne stories set during this episode. I can certainly see why...

Maybourne: "There's nothing like a good wiener". (Yeah, sure he was talking about a hot dog...)

Then they spend a month or so marooned on an alien moon, whereafter Jack gets the Tok'ra to find some planet where Maybourne can stay...

You're really putting a lot of thought into this. Almost a worrying amount. Still, while I never put it into thoughts there was always something about the camera work when Jack and Daniel were on screen that gave me pause. Your observations are now a source of great amusement and also give me hope that I'm not the only person who actually enjoys SG-1.

As yet SG-A doesn't seem to have the same... frisson about it. We can hope.

Putting thought into it? Just because Calle and I could spend two hours discussing crossover pairings for the SG-1 team? Also, I must add that Maybourne comes across as gayer than a San Francisco Pride Parade, not in what he says but in how he says it. Especially in the scene above.

I'm glad you find these posts amusing - I was worrying that I was boring everyone with them.

Funny thing is, I've never been into M/M slash at all until I started watching this series. I was amused by Blake/Avon in B7 but SG-1 is the first series where the M/M has been this large a part of my enjoyment.

As one of the people who runs Fotopic I get to see a lot of what people put on there. As a result this is something that 'caught my eye' as it was going through earlier. I thought it would amuse. It also probably not 100% work safe.
