General update
May. 30th, 2004 06:35 pmThe past two weeks have been somewhat stressed, as some of you may have figured from what
cdybedahl has been writing. This weekend has started to make up for it, though.
My mother and her SO Agne came for a visit on Friday evening; they're staying until tomorrow afternoon. It's great to have enough space to have visitors staying overnight without any of us feeling crowded! Mom and Agne are staying in my sewing room, so they've got the whole downstairs part for themselves. Mom can have long baths without worrying that she's keeping the rest of us from using the loo.
Yesterday I went horseriding; Mom and Agne came to watch. We were riding out, so they went along with us for a bit and then sat and waited until the group returned. Then we did some galloping in a fenced-in field. Agne took pictures - I should get them sometime next week, when he'll be able to upload them to his computer. I enjoy riding outdoors, but today I'm in rather a lot of pain. Probably because when we're indoors, I can always take a break every now and then without causing any problems, but when we're eight people riding together outdoors, I have to keep up with them. I couldn't take a break from trotting even though it did hurt quite a bit.
cdybedahl's mother and her SO came for dinner last night. It was very pleasant - I like my mother-in-law a lot. She's got fibromyalgia, so she knows what it's like to have chronic pain, and she's very thoughtful and caring. I'm very glad we've got such a good relationship, as my own mother lives about 800 kms from here. Last night I was pretty worn out, so I went to bed at about 9 pm, while MIL was still here. It's nice to have the kind of relationship where that doesn't bother anyone, they're sorry I can't stay up as long as I'd like, but they're happy knowing that I recognise my own limits and don't feel any need to pressure myself.
Mom and Agne went into Stockholm on their own today, so I could have a bit of a rest. Now Jennifer's going to stop by in a while, and she's joining all of us for dinner. All in all, so far it's been a very good weekend!
