Cat health

As cdybedahl wrote, the fluffy cat has been to the vet today. Recap: boil in the arse, vet had to sedate him to clean it out and he'll be getting antibiotics. We came home with him about fifteen minutes ago. He's got his head in one of those lampshade thingys. This is not popular. Also not popular is that we've moved the food bowls away, since the vet advised us that he shouldn't eat or drink for the first few hours after his having been sedated. He's currently crouched beside the normal food place and emitting strange noises every few seconds.

I'm so relieved I can't express it. This morning I had thoughts of cancer and was wondering if they'd suggest putting him down immediately. Now it's just a matter of letting the wound heal. I'm dizzy with relief and after-stress reaction.

Glad to hear he's going to be okay. Poor kitty, hope he has a speedy recovery and can get rid of the lampshade soon, I know our cats hated those things.

I feel relieved that it was not serious with the cat. I hope he will be better soon. I understand that animals does not like the lampshade. I have seen dog with this too and it is not fun.

I hope it is not too difficult to get the antibiotics in the cat.

Actually it'd be rather fun to look at if I didn't feel so sorry for him when he bumps into things...

With Tusse it should just be a matter of putting it into food as he'll eat just about anything. I've just given him some supper and so far he seems OK so we should be able to put the food bowls back soon. I've also moved one of the litter trays upstairs so he won't have to negotiate the stairs with the lampshade on.
