Moving happened on Saturday. It went according to plan - I spent my time in a room with the cats, who were very tense and uncertain in the new environment. I even managed to get some work done (thus gaining me an extra day of vacation since I worked on a weekend), and I got most of the fringe of my rag rug done.

Yesterday was mostly spent unpacking books. The cats were still very apprehensive. Tusse, the birma, kept close to me most of the time - every time I went downstairs he followed me, but he never stayed there when I went up again. The other two were in hiding most of the day and didn't even come out at feeding time. (I keep kibbles always available, and give them canned food twice a day - normally they race eachother at those times...)

This morning all of them were almost back to normal. They jostled over the plates of canned food, and then proceeded to inspect everything. Z inspected the stove and discovered that it wasn't a good place to jump up on. She didn't really burn herself, though she kept shaking one foot for about half an hour afterwards.

Now Calle and I are back in the old flat to pack an immense amount of various small stuff which got left behind. And we just got settled with a cleaning company to do the old flat, so we won't have to worry about that part. So far, the only real problem is that we don't have net access in the new flat yet. So my computer is still here in the old flat. At least I'll be able to access it from work... Hopefully we'll get the net fixed by Wednesday, as we need to have the flat empty on Thursday morning for the cleaners.
